| Official Notification of Award
Faculty receiving notice of
a grant award must notify SR, which administers
all grant budgets, assists with preparation of
required reports and final close-out activities,
and implements approved changes in budgets, project
period, etc. Some agencies notify the faculty
member directly, while others send notification
to the Office of the President or the Provost;
therefore, it is critical that faculty take the
initiative to contact SR when an award is made.
No grant budget can be set up until that is done.
Also, the PI should contact SR upon receiving
notice that their grant proposal has been or has
not been awarded funding (funding agencies do
not contact SR directly with this information).
